Three new professional to the pensions trustee team

Law Debenture is pleased to announce the appointment of three professionals to its pensions trustee team.
Law Debenture, a leading provider of professional trustee services, has further strengthened its pension trustee team with the appointment of Philip Gillett, David Kidd and Eric Stobart.
Philip joins from ICI where he spent 12 years as group tax controller and group vice president tax and treasury and was also chairman of the ICI pension scheme investment committee. He is currently chairman of the tax committee of the CBI and a past president of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Philip was also a member of the Employer Task Force on Pensions set up by the Department of Work and Pensions in 2003, and served as a trustee on the Courage pension schemes.
David joins Law Debenture from Arbuthnot Latham where he was chief investment officer. He has amassed more than 25 years of experience in investment management having previously worked as deputy managing director at Chiswell Associates where he had responsibility for funds totalling £1.9bn. David’s non-executive directorships include the Salvation Army International Trustee Company; and two quoted investment trusts, Martin Currie Portfolio Investment Trust plc and Shires Income plc.
Eric was director of public policy and regulation with Lloyds TSB and he remains a trustee on the Lloyds TSB Group pension schemes and is chairman of the investment review panel. Eric’s 30 years of experience in the investment management and banking industry includes roles as chief executive of Hill Samuel Bank and handling OFT and FSA inquiries. He holds a number of non-executive roles including director of Advent Capital and chairman of Capita Managing Agency.
